Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #109

www.FloridaQuiltNetwork.com

June 5, 2007

Quilting Friends,

Well, if you haven’t heard the big news by now, here it is: Florida is having her first annual state-wide Shop Hop…boy do I wish I was in town for this!  Basically all your favorite quilt and quilt fabric shops are participating this upcoming weekend (June 7,8 & 9).  So if you need more info, call them, or, better yet…get on some of the shops’ email lists!  If you need their contact info, go to my Shops page on the Florida Quilt Network website.  This is such a great way to see some new shops off your beaten path.  More info on the Florida Shop Hop below the Calendar section.

We are two thirds of the way through our 6.5 month US trip at this point.  I just finished reading John Steinbeck’s “Travels with Charley”, and he has given me the permission to admit that sometimes it’s good to take a break from all the newness and thrills of travel.  We spent 1.5 weeks stationed in Ypsilanti, Michigan with Stefan’s sister & her family, doing all the regular day-to-day stuff…taking care of little kids, washing the van (inside and out), replenishing camping supplies, sewing up stuff….anyway, it was a welcome break from our constant wonderful travel.  We felt renewed and energized and able to get excited about all the amazing things coming up.

You may remember that I’ve listed a couple of longarm machines for sale in the past.  Well, they were sold so quickly from those listings, that I’ve decided to include a regular Classified Section in this newsletter.  If you have something sewing or quilt related to sell, consider an advertisement in this newsletter.  There are over 1000 interested readers in Florida and beyond.  The charge is $50 for your ad, which will include two listings (two consecutive newsletters) for a single ad.  Please send your ad to ad@FloridaQuiltNetwork.com, and look for a reply from me with instructions for sending the payment.

As always, if you have email changes, let me know:subscribe@FloridaQuiltNetwork.com
