Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #149

www.FloridaQuiltNetwork.com

January 6, 2011

Quilting Friends,

Whew!  Thanks for your patience of a enduring a whole week without FQN’s website.  I missed the email that I needed to re-up on the domain name (why didn’t we use the auto-renew, I have no idea), and actually published the newsletter just hours before they yanked the plug.  Still don’t know why it took a long week to come back…I’ll just consider it an early Christmas present !

I look forward to the quilt show at the Villages again this year, especially because I understand the parking issues are being addressed. Shuttle service from the Polo Grounds will be provided.  Web site is  QGOTV.org.  The show is on Jan 28 and 29.

If you have an interest in vintage quilts, please consider a trip to lovely Trenton, FL on Feb 5th to learn more about these beautiful links to our past  See more info below.

We still have a few openings for the quilting cruise in May where I will be the teacher.  I’ll be teaching an original Caribbean design on a 7-day cruise to the western Caribbean.  For all the details, head on over to my website.

Ellen Gordon (Central Florida) has 40+ genuine kimono from Japan, in various sizes and colors, lined and unlined.  You can contact her at lnquilt@aol.com if you’re interested in more information.

Don’t forget we are still building the best LongArm Quilter List in Florida!  Take a look and make sure your favorite LAQ is listed.
