Quilter,

I don’t know about you, but often I am told “I would like to learn to quilt but…” (Pick one: I can’t afford the classes, I don’t know where to go, etc).  I just received a “Community Ed” brochure from my local community college, and they are offering Quilting on Saturday mornings for 6 weeks for $39.  What a deal!  I’m sure your local CC is offering similar classes.  If you know of someone who lives near Seminole Community College, have them call 407-328-2121.

You may want to gather this type of info for your area for the next time someone YOU know wants to learn to quilt!!  Share the love of quilting.

I want to share a quick tip I just figured out; maybe you already knew this one!  I was attaching mitered borders this week.  I ironed each corner at the 45 degree angle, but in the past have had no luck sewing the seam properly.  Lots of basting and reverse stitching.  This time I decided to APPLIQUE the top piece to the bottom at the 45 degree angle and it worked perfectly.  This way you can also keep track of multiple borders matching up at the corners.

Lots of news to report (its amazing the amount of news!) , but first, the quickly popular CALENDAR:
