Florida Cabin Fever Quilt Guild Upcoming Programs

Quilt Fever 2015 Quilt Show Registration Kick-Off \
with Joyce Johnson
Marks St Center at 6:30pm (Ballroom)
Quilt registration begins tonight! Joyce will oversee the meeting with great ideas for prepping your quilt for inclusion in our quilt show in January. There will be a demonstration of the registration process and instructions on attaching a sleeve.
Joyce will also go over the categories and how to measure your quilt accurately. We will also have lots of refreshments and extra door prizes throughout the evening.

“What These Tools Can Do”

Gail Renna, a certified instructor for Studio 180, will be joining in November for an information packed hour of demonstrations. Studio 180 is most known for their Rapid Fire tools used in making the LeMoyne Star, Hunter’s Star (and others) with NO "Y" seams! She will be demonstrating these tools for us and showing off samples of what they can do. You can see some of Gail's quilts on her blog at www.quilthaventhreads.blogspot.com.

If you are a quilter, here is a bus trip for you. The Quilting Sisters of Leesburg are planning a bus trip to 3 quilt shops in Florida. We will be going to Crafty Threads, in Tampa, Happy Apple Quilt in Safety Harbor and Tomorrow Treasures' in Crystal River.
The date is Thursday Oct 23rd. The bus will leave the Masonic Lodge in Leesburg at 8 a.m.. We will have door prizes, games on the bus and the shops will give demos and a special for the ladies on the bus. The price is $35.00 for non guild members and includes lunch and tip for the driver.

REPORT FROM QUILTFEST JAX
Hi Mary-Jeanine,
The QuiltFest Inc. show was really great. We had 79 vendors and they were happy with the show. Our Quilt Sale booth did a booming business.
The quilts that were put up were beautiful; I personally think the quilts were the best we have ever had at our show.
Lots of pictured on our face book.
The Quilters Walk had 92 or 94 baskets.
The Guild quilts were great. Everyone that won a quilt was really happy.
I can hardly wait for next year to see what we will get.
