Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #239
www.FloridaQuiltNetwork.com
September 6, 2018

Quilting Friends,

This is “Rails from Norway”.  Using the leftovers from my Norway quilt, I was able to make a few more quilts.  Last month's newsletter featured “Donuts from Norway” and both Donuts and Rails are from the book “No Scrap Left Behind” by Amanda Jean Nyberg.

If you live in the Central Florida area, I invite you to check out our FREE monthly “Tips, Tools & Techniques” Club at The Sewing Studio in Maitland. Its always on the 4th Saturday of the month, and we do it twice, so you can choose one: 10-noon or 1-3pm.  I have lots of demonstrations, and tips on quilting, sewing, serging and embroidery, and we have all sorts of friendly discussions about sewing related topics.  You will also enjoy Show-n-tell, refreshments, doorprizes and that wonderful 15% shopping discount.  See you on the 22nd?  Did I mention it was FREE?

PS: if you can, come for the afternoon session, the morning one is getting pretty crowded!

Here’s an invitation from some kind quilters in Melbourne:

I manage the Heart & Soul Quilting Circle of Melbourne Community Church. We currently have 10 members and we would love to have more. We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:00 at Melbourne Community Church, 3030 West New Haven Avenue, in West Melbourne (corner of Wickham & 192 behind Walgreens)

We have Show-and-tell, sit-and-sew, and we sponsor one quilt show each year.  We learn from each other, and we support each other. There is no membership fees associated with this group. If you know anyone that would be interested in joining our group, please have them call me at 321-537-9454.

Thank you,
Kathy Higley
Heart and Soul Quilting Circle

If you’re a fairly new reader of this newsletter, you may not know that the Calendar page on the website is a quick way to view upcoming events all over the state.  Give it a look-see.
Happy Quilting,
      Mary-Jeanine
PS: I’d love to hear from you, so drop me a line sometime.
