Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #288

www.FloridaQuiltNetwork.com

January 10, 2023

Quilting Friends,

I’m pretty jazzed about a change to my Tips, Tools & Techniques Club we’ve been streaming live on the 4th Saturday of each month:  We’re moving it from 10am to 1pm.  That means the locals will come in on Saturday morning at 10am for in-person and then I’ll present the exact same content virtually at 1pm.  I hope you can tune in.  Catch it on the store’s youtube channel or watch for my reminder email the day before.  You can watch LIVE and ask questions, or save for later (but not ask questions).

I also want to remind you that as a quilting teacher and lecturer, I travel up and down the state of Florida, bringing my brand of Stashbusting to your guild.  If you haven’t seen me lately, it might be time to bring me back!!  My calendar has openings at the moment.  More info here.

Have you heard of the first ever All Florida Shop Hop?  Very exciting!  Dates are March 1- April 30.  60 shops, exclusive fabric, lots or prizes, and the passport is a beautiful full-color magazine with 6 patterns included.  Be sure to pick up the magazine at your favorite Florida quilt shop.

You may not know that the Calendar page on the website is a quick way to view upcoming events all over the state.  Give it a look-see.

Happy Quilting,

      Mary-Jeanine

PS: I’d love to hear from you, so drop me a line sometime.

FOR SALE Pfaff Expression 710 sewing machine and new table

This machine has about an hour or so of sewing time logged onto it. There is also a portable, folding sewing machine table that has never been taken out of the box. Both were purchased at Don’s Sewing Machines in Rockledge, FL and are currently in St. Cloud, FL.

Recently I spoke to someone at Don’s Sewing Machines who told me the machine and table would retail for about $4,000. The MSRP on the machine alone is $2,799. We are asking $2,500 for both the machine and the table…an awesome deal! I have attached pictures of the actual machine and the box that the table is in.

Please call Rick Heuser at 407-957-5417 for more information or to make arrangements to see the machine in person!

Title  The Wacky Doodle Quilter - Wacky Fusion

Event URL https://suncoastquiltingcircle.org/event-5084840

Kim Brownell, the Wacky Doodle Quilter, will feature two distinct parts in her presentation.  Firstly, "Challenges: what to do" - You are calmly sitting in your quilt group enjoying life.  Then you hear " The challenge for this year is....".  Does panic set in?  Do you want to participate, but not sure what to do next?  Learn good ideas on how to approach challenges, where to find them, and why everyone should participate in them. Then, the Wacky Doodle Trunk Show, which follows Kim's quilting journey through a variety of different techniques.  Sometimes realistic and sometimes totally wacky - her collection is a truly eclectic trek.
