I had the opportunity to travel
with a friend to Naples and Venice this past weekend and visit two local quilt
shows. So much inspiration and friendly
guild members! It always brings back
good memories of the fabulous quilt shows our Sanford guild produced.
I realized recently that I hadn’t added any quilts to my Gallery in 6 years (!), so I’ve been slowly adding quilts to that page. It’s not every quilt I’ve made but all my favorites are there!

join us in our 2024 Retreat! Can’t wait to see you there. We have planned a
couple of fun activities, but we are leaving with enough time to work on those
UFO’s or start a new project. The theme this year is Spring Time.
We have
several activities designed for you. They are all voluntary but let’s enjoy
them. One of the activities you will need two fat quarters flowers and solids
or print that reads as solid. Each member attending will receive a swag bag.
Plus, there will be raffles thru-out the weekend.

SHOW IN PALATKA
We are
excited to announce the 11th Annual Quilt Show, Quilts by the River, which will
take place on April 5th and 6th, 2024. The event promises to be a
vibrant showcase of beautiful quilts and talented quilters. The Best of Show
winner will receive a prize of $250.00, with additional prizes awarded for
other categories.
In
addition to the quilt displays, there will be vendors selling quilting supplies
and classes for those who want to learn new techniques or improve their skills.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other quilting enthusiasts and to find
inspiration for your own projects. We hope to see you there!

room is available Monday-Thursday 7 am-midnight. Friday hours are 7 am-8pm. Venue is the Hyatt Place 26000 Sierra Center
Blvd, Lutz FL 33559.
There
is a $50 non refundable deposit to reserve your spot. Price at this time the total is $180 unless
we are able to move to the ballroom at which time an additional $20 will be
required.
Hotel
accommodations are separate and the website at Sweet Darling Quilts will have
the link when available.
Lots
of restaurants in the area. Come and get
those UFOs caught up or start a new project.

The
Highlands County Quilt Guild will be hosting a quilt show January 31 and
February 1, 2025 at the Genesis Center in Lake Placid Florida. Thanks!

SHOW IN VERO BEACH
The
Vero Beach Quilt Show is February Friday 7th and Saturday 8th 2025 from
10-4 pm each day. We will have over 200 quilts, 25 Quilt Vendors and a Quilts
of Valor presentation on Saturday at noon.
The
show is at the Indian River County Fairgrounds and Expo Center, 7955 58th
Avenue, Vero Beach Florida 32967.
There
are food vendors, scissor and knife sharpening, Outside charity Vendors and the
Young Entrepreneurs. Ricky T on music inside the building.
The
price for the show is $10.00 at the gate, cash or card for one or both days.
