Network - Newsletter #306
August 6, 2024
Quilting Friends,
Maybe you noticed (maybe you
didn’t!), but I did not publish a July newsletter this month because I was on
the road. We spent 5 weeks mostly in
upstate NY, camping and exploring the Finger Lakes, Andirondacks
and Catskills. Yep, the weather was definitely cooler. I don’t think we realized that it would be
all waterfalls, all the time. This 80’
waterfall was literally within the town of Moscow, NY. It required a 1 mile hike up and in the
creek to get there. I loved every
minute of it and kept my bum dry!
I did get some sewing done, not
as much machine sewing as I expected (only worked on 3 of the 5 projects I
brought) but lots of wool applique and EPP. Super relaxing!
Please, if you are associated
with a guild, shop or longarmer,
please take a look at those pages on the FQN website to see if the information
needs updating. I’m a one-woman shop
over here, and I need YOUR help to keep the content up-to-date. Thanks so much!
Announcement: Does your guild have pipes and drapes
that you no longer use? Seaside
Piecemakers is looking to buy more pipes and drapes for our 2026 show. Call Eleanor Moland 407-702-9144 or Eleanor@eleanormoland.com
Announcement #2: This just in: Along with 2 quilting friends, I will be hosting and teaching a quilting and sewing retreat at The Sewing Studio in Maitland. I’m super excited about it, read all about it here and here.
PS: if you're in the market for a machine but the two
highlighted below don't work for you, keep reading for the "Still Available" section, where I quick-list previous
ads.
Happy Quilting,
Mary-Jeanine
PS: I’d love to hear from you, so drop me a line sometime.

Bernina LongArm FRAME
Priced Reduced
to $16,500
I have a Bernina Long arm quilting frame for
sale along with the computer QMatic, complete with
hundreds of quilting designs. It has the
hydraulics, so you can sit or stand while using it. It is complete. I would prefer to keep the machine, the
Q20. It will take the bigger Q24 as
well. It is in perfect condition. I
bought this frame 3 years ago…..rarely used.
(I paid over $22,000 for it and am asking $16,500). I am not able to use it any more. Health issues.
