Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #31

September 10, 2000

Quilting Friends,

I don’t know about you, but I receive a lot of email newsletters.  Seems like most newsletters make you wade through lots of ads and housekeeping info to get to a paragraph or two of good stuff.  That is one of many reasons I don’t take advertisements.  I want to deliver to you ONLY the good stuff!!  Hope you enjoy the latest:

I just discovered a jewel of a website.  Shelly Zegart is a collector and seller of antique quilts.  The quilts on this site are exquisite:  http://www.shellyquilts.com/

Here’s a hoot of a website (ever wonder what to do with those few THOUsand AOL CD’s that show up in everything from your Sunday newspaper to a box from your latest catalog order?):

http://www.neosoft.com/nikki/

For those of you who just sent a child off to college, I really like this idea: “pillowcase of the month”.  You could find fabric to match just about every occasion (Christmas, St. Patrick’s day, July 4th, etc) and at least you’d know they were changing their pillowcase monthly!

ADVERTISE YOUR QUILT SHOW

Here is a list of websites that offer lists of quilt shows.  I would suggest your posting your own guild’s quilt show on these websites ASAP….it’s great FREE publicity!  (Please let me know if you know of other sites…MJ)
