Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #32

October 5, 2000

Quilting Friends,

I keep promising myself I’ll send this newsletter out a bit more frequently.  As some of you who know me will attest to, my plate is a bit too full lately, and it just doesn’t seem to happen.  I’ll keep trying!

The last two weekends have been quilty! (but not guilty)  Jacksonville was, as usual, an exceptional show; I came home inspired and excited about some new projects…boy, I NEED some new projects, doncha know?

This weekend found me in Tallahassee for the state guild meeting (www.ssqa.org).  For those of you who aren’t familiar with all the state guild does, here are some highlights: a membership list of over 300 members, also vendors, judges, and guilds, a new comprehensive guide on how to set up a not-for-profit guild, quarterly meetings with classes, lectures and vendors (all for $15 per meeting), 4 day symposiums (next one in March, see below), opportunities to meet and get to know quilting talent from all over the state, and more than I can remember this morning.  Take a look at the website for contact info.

Friend and fellow quilter and awesome nationally known quilter Cindy Blackberg has a website now…check it out:  www.cindyblackberg.com
