Friends,
Whoops, where did December go? We’ll just call this an early January newsletter and go from there. I trust everyone had a joyous holiday and had a chance to remember the Reason for the Season.
With
the new year upon us, I encourage you to pull out your calendar and mark down
some of these dates. Maybe this is the
year you visit a few new-for-you quilt shows?
Me? I’m trying to figure out how
to fit the NQA show in Columbus, Ohio in with our plans to RV to Portland,
Oregon next summer. It’s on the route,
right? LOL

QUILT SHOW IN ORLANDO
The best place to be the 4th weekend in January, 2003, is
Orlando Florida!
January 24 and 25, 2003, “Quilt Fever 2003: A Quilter’s Album” presented by Florida
Cabin Fever Quilters Guild.
Location – The Central Florida Fairgrounds, 4603 W Colonial
Drive, Orlando, Florida.
Quilt Show with hundreds of quilts, vendors from around the
Southeast, quilt appraisals, antique sewing machine display, a donation quilt,
boutique with fun and practical gift items, technique demonstrations,
children’s area, miniature silent quilt auction and door prizes.
Special exhibits include 'Manhole Covers 2001- A Quilt
Oddity' a display of 44 quilts from the book Treasures Underfoot by Shirley
MacGregor. The quilts are based on the
manhole covers found in Japan. Also on exhibit will be 'Miniatures from the
Heart'. This exhibit includes the
winners from the 10th annual Miniatures From the Heart Contest sponsored by
Chitra Publications.
