Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #81

December 3, 2004

Quilting Friends,

As usual, I have to get TOTally into the Christmas spirit before I decide to stitch up some Christmas gifts.  I’m still waiting, but I’m hoping that spirit arrives soon, because my stitching time is running short.  What about you?

Save that pin money because the Quilt Show Season is almost upon us.  I’m hoping to finish up a few projects around here too so I can buy some new ones. Ha!  See you at the shows.

This request is from Rose Klemp, 346 KOA Rd., Monticello Fl 32344.  Rose has friend who has a 22 yr old son, born blind, he is an accomplished musician, currently taking college courses and living at home.  Rose wants to make him a lap quilt and would like folks to send her 5" squares all having to do with music (notes, scores, instruments, etc.).  This will be done like a "I spy" quilt.  His mom will grid out his name in brail and Rose will use French knots so he'll be able to read his name.

Thank you to all who respond, it is greatly appreciated.
