Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #148 December 6, 2010
Quilting Friends,
Well here we are, the busy giving season of Christmas and Chanukah. Consider going green this year and creating a few fabric gift bags made with Christmas or Chanukah fabrics and a simple drawstring top. If you make a few every year, pretty soon you’ll completely eliminate wrapping paper from your shopping list and the earth will thank you for it. We leave the tags on from the previous year and make a game of finding a bag with the right To/From tag that is also the right size for this year’s gift. Woohoo…its like winning the lottery. LOL.
For the quilter who has everything (might that be you?) consider a very memorable gift... a quilting cruise! I’m thrilled to be able to invite you to a cruise in May where I will be the teacher. I’ll be teaching an original Caribbean design on a 7-day cruise to the western Caribbean. For all the details, head on over to my website.
Ellen Gordon (Central Florida) has 40+ genuine kimono from Japan, in various sizes and colors, lined and unlined. You can contact her at lnquilt@aol.com if you’re interested in more information.
Don’t forget we are still building the best LongArm Quilter List in Florida! Take a look and make sure your favorite LAQ is listed.
