Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #194

Quilting Friends,
I just heard the BEST idea and have to share it with you, especially if you are heading up an upcoming quilt show: put photos of all the show quilts on Pinterest, complete with descriptions that you collect for the signs. Of course you’ll have to ask permission on the submission form, but what a great way to get more viewers and real-time comments! Here is the first Quilt Show on Pinterest (that I have heard of, anyway):
The Museum of Florida History just closed the 33rd Annual Capital City Quilt Show. But, this year, we put all of the quilts on Pinterest. Every one of the 107 quilts is viewable for free on the board here.
From a reader in Deltona/Deland: I have lots of bolts of fabric that I bought from a lady who had a quilt shop and was moving away and had to get rid of it. If you are near Daytona to Debary area, come and see it. It is first rate Kauffman, Benertex, P B and J etc. $3.00 a yard
Give us a call: Ruth at 386-561-9594 or Nelle at 386-561-9594
To get a complete, organized, hotlinked listing of all the Florida upcoming shows, retreats, workshops, shop hops, exhibits, etc, please visit the Calendar.
Happy Quilting, Mary-Jeanine
PS: I love to hear from you, so drop me a line sometime!
