Florida
Quilt Network - Newsletter #268
April 7, 2021
Quilting Friends,
The
word gets out, when you’re a quilter, and maybe you could also make church
and school banners? I’ve been making
banners for my church for maybe 15 years, but this is my first school
banner. My daughter and I are
hand-sewing the yellow felt to the blue felt.
Lots of time to catch up on life since last March, lol.
You
may be asking yourself “why the heck isn’t she using a sewing machine?!?” I wish we could, but the felt is thick and at
12 feet by 14 feet, ain’t no way its
fitting under my machine. That’s ok,
sometimes slow sewing is good too.
You may not know that the Calendar page on the website is a quick way to view upcoming events all over the state. Give it a look-see.
Happy Quilting,
Mary-Jeanine
PS: I’d love to hear from you, so drop me a line sometime.

May
5, 10am The basic design of this quilt is that of a mock cathedral
window. The front fabric forms the window, which is framed when the back fabric
is folded to the front side of the quilt. This makes it reversible with each
side giving a different look. The lecture includes tips for how to make the
quilt, different options as well as quilting tips.
