Quilting
Friends,
As soon as I returned home from our summer
camping trip, I got to work on this quilt, designed by Lori Holt. I’ll be teaching a ‘Quilty
Fun Quilt-Along’ this fall and winter.
Each time we meet, we’ll work on another row together. I used Lori Holt’s new line of fabric:
‘Prairie’, isn’t it beautiful? I’m
looking forward to this project, I hope you can join me at The Sewing Studio for some
quilt-along fun! The 4Q class calendar should
be live in a few weeks.
The Jacksonville Quiltfest
is almost here! Doors open Sept. 15 at 9 am and go from 9-5 daily, Sept. 15, 16
and 17. General admission tickets are $14, with Seniors $1 discount on
Thursday, and military with an ID $1 discount any day. Parking is $5.
Although cash is accepted at the event, the PARKING and TICKETS may only be
purchased with credit or debit card, no cash.
[Editor’s note: this will be the first
time since the early 90’s that I will NOT be at the Jax show….take
some pictures and buy a fat quarter for me!]
Are you a quilting teacher in Florida? I’ve had several guilds ask me for ideas for
programs, teachers who don’t need to fly to travel. Shoot
me an email to be added to a future list.
You may not know that the Calendar page on the website is a quick way to view upcoming events all over the state. Give it a look-see.
Happy Quilting,
Mary-Jeanine
PS: I’d love to hear from you,
so drop me a line sometime.
