Quilting Friends,
If any of you know of someone who has decided to attend the
AQS show in Paducah this year, please let them know that I have a room reserved
that I will not be using. If someone doesn’t
take it, I’m out a lot of money, so I’m hoping to find a replacement soon!!
As our busy spring schedule of quilt shows winds down, I’m
looking forward to finding the time to work through some of the great
inspirations I’ve seen! I hope you find
that time too.

A MESSAGE FROM CAROL MEYER
Just wanted you
to know, one of my pieces called "Along the River" was juried into an
art show here in New Mexico and is now hanging in the Governor's Gallery at the
State Capitol in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The show opened March 16, with a reception at the Governor's Gallery and
will end May 11. The show will then go to Hubbard Museum of Western Art in
Ruidoso, New Mexico until July 8. If anyone may be in New Mexico during this
time they may wish to see the show.
Sincerely, Carol Meyer

INFO FROM JENNY RAMOND, QUILTING TEACHER
Last year I sent you information on my new Web Site:
http://www.jennyraymond.com
I recently updated the Workshop and Lecture information and wanted to
make this information available to you. Please scroll down to the bottom of the
pages where you will find complete information, including cost, etc. A Gallery
page has been added to include additional pictures of my work.
I have very exciting news I'd like to share with you. As
many in the Quilting/Wearable Art community are aware, Fairfield is no longer
sponsoring the magnificent Fairfield Fashion Show. In the past, I was fortunate
to have been a part of this prestigious show for three different years; my
ensembles from these shows are on my web site.
Bernina and Quilt, Inc. are now sponsors for the Bernina Fashion Show
and I was selected to be a part of their first show which will premier at Quilt
Market & Festival in Houston next November. My heart still skips a beat when a letter of invitation comes,
inviting me to be participant in a show of this stature. Pictures of the ensemble that I have
designed for this show will be posted on my Web Site after the first of
November.
I would love to work with your Organization or Guild and
hope to hear from you in the near future. If you have any questions, please
don't hesitate to contact me.

BUS TRIP FROM WEST
PASCO QUILT GUILD
TO GAINESVILLE,
FL. TO
"A QUILT ODYSSEY: 2001"
QUILT SHOW
2nd ANNUAL SHOW for the Tree City Quilters Guild, Saturday,
May 5, 2001. A bus has been reserved from the Elfers Senior Travel Center. The price will be $20 each which will be bus
fare and ticket to enter the show.
there are only 20 seats available, so this will be on a first to sign up
and hand in a check basis. The bus will
pick us up at the rear of the St. Mark's Church parking lot at 6:30 a.m. and we
will be returning by 6:00 p.m. The sign up sheet will be on the SPECIAL EVENTS
TABLE at the Guild Meeting in April. Sorry for the short notice, but for those
who are wanting a quick trip, this one will only take approx. 2 1/2 hrs. each
way. Plans are in the works to start
back via U.S. Hwy. 19 and make a stop at "Tomorrow's Treasures
Quilt Shop" in
Crystal River for a look see and a 10%
discount for all of us who wish to make any purchases. Susan Rass, the shop owner also says there
will be special "Goody Bags" with special prices. We have a choice for lunch, we can order a
"Box Lunch" from the show location, or we can eat in
Crystal River at one
of the special restaurants near the Quilt Shop. Be ready to make a choice when you sign up as I would have to
order the Box Lunches ahead of time. I
sure hope we won't have a stampede to the table, but I will try and be there
early to get everyone started.
Happy Quilting until
we meet again.................Mary Rich, Chairperson
