Quilting Friends,
I am constantly amazed at the amount of information
contained on the website: quilting.about.com.
Anytime I want to begin a search, I usually check there first and Susan Druding
does not disappoint. Among other
things, Susan has lists of guilds, shops and teachers. If you are affiliated with any of those, you
may want to check that your information is on the website and is updated. For any kind of quilt related search, try
her search engine in the upper right.
Marie Morel-Seroskie has completed her move to New
Hampshire. Here is her address:

We
will have machines by Nolting, APQS & Gammill on display... the meeting is designed for folks with
machines, folks looking for machines AND folks looking for quilters... hope to meet all sorts of needs with this
meeting.
We have secured the meeting space at The Hampton Inn at exit 43 off
I-75... this is an informal meeting for
the Florida, Georgia & Alabamba folks (& anyone else is more than
welcome, also). It is free...
The dates are July 27 & 28

An agenda of demos will be available closer to the dates.
the
Hampton Inn at that exit will be our host facility.. we will have a quilt display on the 27th & more quilts on the
28th.... we have a limited space so we
can not leave them up the entire time...

SSQA MEETING IN JULY
The July 28th SSQA Meeting will be in Switzerland, Fl. at the Geneva
Presbyterian church on State Road 13 (San Jose Rd.) The church is across the
road from Marywood Retreat where we had our 1999 symposium. Our format will be
different this time I am calling it "Summer Camp". We will be beading, Susie Murray will be
showing us how to make a beautiful thimble holding necklace, Elise Fare will be
showing us how too dye using the Shibbori method, Joyce Snyder will be teaching
a beautiful crayon shaded "applique" quilt you will have to see it to
believe it and last but not least Lynn Provencher will be teaching us our very
own SSQA "Sunshine Doll". Out classes will be five hours long three
in the morning and two in the afternoon so will be able to finish our class
project.
We will be spending the night at Marywood on the St.John River. Each pod of rooms has a large room where we
can enjoy our "dorm" parties visit and sew if you wish.
SSQA
members will receive a registration form in mail; only non-members need to e-mail me for an application.
