Quilting
Friends,
What
a lot going on in our corner of the world!
Can anyone person keep up with all the shows, exhibits, shop openings,
classes etc?
In case
you don’t have enough to do, Quilt University is a wonderful website with the
most yummy looking classes that you take on your OWN schedule! No schlepping your machine and half your
sewing studio to a workshop, and the teacher is there 24/7 (or almost!) with
answers to every question. I took an
EQ4 class last year and really learned a lot.
I plan on taking a few more this year.
Maybe a new years resolution of one new class a quarter would work for
you. Anyway, check out www.QuiltUniversity.com and have a
ball.
Another
very useful site for you and your quilting friends who are visiting Florida is www.FloridaQuilting.com. You can search by county, maybe other things
too. It returns with a list of quilt
shops in a particular county. Please
check out your area and be sure it is up to date. Steve, the webmaster, is very responsive to changes you might
send.
Don’t
forget to bookmark my site, www.FloridaQuiltNetwork.com
for your quilting activity needs. I’m constantly updating the link page as I
find useful sites.
Look
at lots of award winning quilts here: www.apnq.org/Quiltfest2000/Quiltfest2000.html
And
finally, I hope you were able to make it to our quilt show in Orlando this past
weekend. We were very proud of the
quality and quantity of quilts and exhibits, and we think it was a very
successful show! If anyone lost a
camera at the show, call Linda at 407-330-1731 to claim it.
