Florida Quilt Network - Newsletter #95
www.FloridaQuiltNetwork.com
March 5, 2006
Quilting Friends,
I’ve discovered a charity organization that sends homemade rag dolls to third world countries for children who need something to hug on. They’ve already sent out 15,000 dolls! The dolls are so easy to make that I’ll be teaching my 9 and 10 year old sewing students how to make them. I think it will be an edifying experience for all of us. Here’s the website if you’d like to sew along: www.ragdolls2love.org My friend, Suzanne Ramsey graciously offered her digitizing services so I could embroider the face and heart on our dolls. Until the organization’s website uploads those files, you can request the embroidery files from me by sending me an email. Don’t forget to include your embroidery format.
A great TIP ran across my desk the other day. This only works if you have a mouse with a wheel between the right and left button (if not, it’s a good reason to spend $10) If you have trouble viewing emails due to the small font size, hold down the CTRL key and move the wheel on the mouse. The font size will grow. If you don’t have one of these mice, they are great for scrolling up and down in whatever window your mouse is sitting in. I can’t live without my wheelie.
As always, if your email address changes, please let me know: subscribe@FloridaQuiltNetwork.com. Thanks
