Yeah, it’s a big one alright, I
had to put it on my bed to get a good photo of the whole thing. This is Decoupage
Trip from Jason Yenter. I will be
talking about it on February 24 at the next Tips, Tools & Techniques Club
at The Sewing Studio. I’ll have some
great tips on how to get that ‘bargello’ look.

Home-Pro Table including a batting bar and wheels. It is approximately 10 years
old and has been lightly used on my quilt projects. The set-up includes a
computerized robotic product called Qbot included in
the price. You can learn about this system at http://www.myqbot.com. In addition the table has a Light bar with LED tubes and
aluminum extruded mounting. Many extras included with
the sale including additional feet, thread, long-arm rulers, needles, laser
beam, Gammill Quilt Clips (for floating quilt), etc. The machine is located in Mount
Dora, Florida. The buyer is responsible for take down,

We will be selling fabric based
on a price of $4 per yard. That means a
fat quarter is $1, a half yard is $2, and a 2 yard
piece is $8. We have gotten pretty efficient and all items are marked clearly. We also have a scrap pool, and some of the
scraps are pretty large! You fill a zip lock bag and pay based on the
size of the bag. All good ways to find a
bit of extra stash! (Which we all need,
don't we!?!)

QUILT
HAPPENINGS AT THE STATE FAIR IN TAMPA
The state fair in Tampa will be
hosting a creative living demonstration. If people are going to see their
quilts or just to go it would be cool for them to visit the art exhibits.
Lauren Jackson of Bold Notion Quilting will have her
APQS Machine setup and will be quilting a Mandala to showcase to people February
8-11.

QUILT EXHIBIT IN FERNANDINA BEACH
Amelia Island Quilt Guild: The Fabulous
Flags of Fernandina in Quilts. Feb. 10 through April 19, 2024. In
collaboration with the Amelia Island Quilt Guild (AIQG), The Friends of the
Library (FOL) and The Fernandina Beach Library the textile art show features 15
quilts, 20 by 23 and celebrates Fernandina Beach Bicentennial.
The display is held at the Fernandina
Beach library, 25. Nth 4 Street. A feature of this textile art show will
be QR codes that allow visitors to discover more about our history. The
show opens with a program on Feb. 10 at 3:00. Please RSVP for the Feb.

STATLER (software) WORKSHOP IN OCALA
The Central Florida Statler Sibs is hosting Creative
Studio Workshop with Joan Knight on Saturday and Sunday February 24th and
25th. This is a two day, fun filled class
from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm each day. Joan will review topics and techniques
using Creative Studio software. Learn how to design your own wholecloth quilt. Also, a lot of inspiration.
You must bring your laptop with the latest version of CS software for
this stand alone class.
Class
location is in Ocala, Florida at On Top of The World. Class registration
is $325.00 which cover classes for both days, lunches,
snacks, drinks, door prizes and a goodie bag upon arrival.

QUILT
SHOW IN PAMANA CITY
St. Andrew Bay Quilter's Guild will be holding our annual quilt show
on March 15 & 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Central Panhandle
Fairgrounds, 2230 15th St., Panama City, FL 32405.
There will be approximately
100 quilts on display, Opportunity Quilt raffle, silent auction, gift basket
raffle, Bits and Pieces snack bar and vendors. General admission is $10.

SHOP HOP IN CENTRAL FLORIDA
The next shop hop will be March 15th-30th. It's
going to be a Jelly Roll Hop. Passports will be $7 prior to the hop and $10
once it starts. Passport sales will start February 1st.
Each store will be giving away 6 strips of fabric
(2.5in x WOF). We are doing two black (and white), two white (and black), and
two color (solids or blenders).
7 stores are participating, the colors for the stores
are:
Piece By Piece: Purple
Beyond the Stitches: Pink
Quilting Palette: Yellow
Sew-Mini Things: Red
Nana's Quilt Shop: Lime Green
Sewing Studio at Lady Lake: Turquoise
The Sewing Studio in Maitland: Blue
If you hit all seven stores
they will have a total of 28 black and white strips (14 mostly black and 14
mostly white) and 14 colored strips (2 of each color) for a total of 42
2.5-inch strips.
Each shop will have one grand prize winner (a $75 shopping spree)
and a second place winner (a $50 shopping spree)
randomly chosen from everyone who visits each shop during the hop.

QUILT SHOW IN JACKSONVILLE
The theme for the 36th annual
Jacksonville Quiltfest (QuiltfestJax)
is “Sew Your Heart Out.” It will be held from September 19-21, 2024 at
the Prime Osborn Convention Center, 1000 Water Street, Jacksonville, FL from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
