Boy, this quilt just
kept my mind occupied every minute of the day(s) until it was done! What a fun technique and a great
pattern! There is a paper template
in the pattern for the diamonds, but I really like using rulers. Unfortunately I could not find one on the
market, so hubby and his laser cutter to the rescue! He made a few extra if you’d like
to get one.
If you love making scrappy quilts, and you love supporting a great cause…keep reading! Project Linus (the national org) has a fundraiser happening right now. For a $20 donation to your local Project Linus chapter, you’ll receive 8 different scrappy patterns! So far 5 patternshave been released and they are all top-notch. I’m enjoying seeing all the renditions on the Facebook page.
You may not know that the Calendar page on the website is a quick way to view upcoming events all over the state. Give it a look-see.
PS: if you're in the market for
a machine but the ones highlighted below don't work for you, keep reading for
the "Still Available" section, where I quick-list previous ads.
Happy Quilting,
Mary-Jeanine
PS: I’d love to hear from you, so drop me a line sometime.

Project Linus Fundraiser
The annual Project Linus quilt fundraiser (mystery quilt in fall) has been replaced this year by Scrappy Sewing with Patty. For your donation of $20, you receive 8 patterns that focus on using up your scraps. You can donate your resulting quilts to Project Linus or use them for anything you wish as many times as you wish. Registration is available now Scrappy Sewing with Patty - Project Linus and if you designate Orlando/Central Florida chapter (Michele Mingoia is the chapter coordinator) when you sign up, the money comes to us locally to use for supplies (labels, packaging bags, all those necessities). The first pattern was released as a bonus when we reached 1000 signups and you can see it on the Facebook page. Like in past years, once you register, you will fetch each pattern as it is released (one every 2 weeks through May).
Here is one made from the first pattern released:
